WORKSHOPS

Workshops with Overdrive provide a safe space for male-identifying young people* to explore their creativity through dance and movement.

Want us to show you the ropes? Drop us a line!

Overdrive is an encouraging and inclusive space welcoming dancers from all backgrounds and abilities. Challenging the stigma of boys dancing, Overdrive is a safe space to express yourself and work with a community of like-minded dancers.

Overdrive was established in 2015 after a succesful project with Matthew Bourne’s Lord of the Flies.

Overdrive believes in removing barriers for participating in the arts. For the young people dancing with Overdrive, it is free of charge.

*Overdrive is inclusive of all gender identities including transgender, non-binary, and cisgender whilst acknowledging all other gender identities. Overdrive is for young people comfortable working in a male-focused environment

GAMES

Who doesn’t love a game? Games with Overdrive seek to boost team building, explore movement possibilities and most importantly, to have fun!

WORKING TOGETHER

Overdrive promotes all our dancers to support and champion each other. Important when it comes to tricky moments like lifts and contact.
